About the role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Respect, apply and deploy the core values of Hutchinson Antivibration North America  
  • Work cross functionally across the organization 
  • Train and develop the team to achieve strong results and adhere to standards.
  • Work with the Plant Manager to develop, track and report Action Plans to improve Productivity and efficiency within the APU area monthly.
  • Initiate plans and processes, which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of labor, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital and other efficiency measures.
  • Continually improve safety record by ensuring that all safety rules & regulations are respected and by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
  • Lead safety policy deployement in the area according to company policy and standards.
  • Responsible for providing production with quality, time and cost effectiveness.
  • Implement 6S program within the area.
  • Manage all labor aspect within the area with the help and support of HR .
  • Manage all quality aspect within the area with the help and support of the quality department.
  • Manage all maintenance aspect within the area with the help and support of maintenance  department.
  • Prioritize meeting customer demands and  needs as a core responsibility.
  • Be a role model for our Code of Conduct.
  • Perform any duties assigned by management not outlined in the above responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional travel required

REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, and other plant and office personnel.  Must have working knowledge of the manufacturing of antivibration parts and mechanics.  Must understand and have the proven ability to make decisions based on data in a manufacturing environment.  

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent; and 7-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work experience related to manufacturing systems including but not liminted to lean methods, quality management and supply chain methods.
