About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Anchor/ Lead Software Engineer for our OGC Legal Practice Product team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Full stack Software Development and possess good analytical skills and problem-solving skills is a plus. This role requires a professional with excellent collaboration skills, software Design, COTS Configuration, Development and Testing working with business customers, capable of managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT products, from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. This is a hybrid work opportunity, and the team is normally onsite 4 days/ week in Dearborn, MI. This position is ideal for the multi-faceted individual who has experience as a Software Engineer, Solution Architect, Designer and Anchor, and is interested in working with a portfolio of cutting-edge tools, COTS products, multiple PDO organizations, different business skill teams and business customers. This person will lead and guide a team of software engineers that develops/supports multiple products. We are looking for a person who will act as both a Lead Anchor and Lead Software Engineer. Work with multiple organizations (Business Customers, PDOs, ITO) to understand business requirements, develop product roadmaps, and develop new products per the product backlog. Act as the single point of contact or Lead Anchor for your products.

  • Experience in building and maintaining complex enterprise web applications in microservice product architecture using Agile methodology.
  • Possess in-depth expertise in core technologies, including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, C#, VBA for Office software, UNIX Scripting, Window Scripting, Terraform, RESTful APIs, Angular 16+, Python, messaging frameworks, container-based development (Docker), Elasticsearch, relational databases (Big Query, PostgreSQL, EXACC, Oracle & MS SQL Server), and event-driven architecture solutions like Kafka.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing projects using GCP Cloud computing technologies, database, Redis, Istio, Multi-Tenant, and Single Tenant 
  • Experience in successfully migrating legacy applications to modern cloud-based architectures utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud technologies like Cloud Storage, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery process and tools, testing frameworks and practices (preferably GitHub, Ready API, Terraform, Tekton, etc.).
  • Experience with OpenShift CAAS platform
  • Experience in implementing and managing the COTS products at Ford.
  • Full stack development and implement end-to-end components of software products.
  • Experience is building the APIs to meet the Ford compliance policies (FOSSA, SonarQube, Cycode, 42 Crunch and Conformance Scan)
  • Experience is configuring the APIs and publish them in APIGEE
  • Champion & lead Software Engineering Excellence practices 
  • Implement robust CI/ CD processes and development methodologies in Software Engineering within the Product team.
  • Assess the technology feasibility along with the anchor.
  • Ability to migrate from ADFS to AzureAD for the internal applications and configure the Azure AD for vendor hosted applications.
  • Clearly communicate technology & product to the team members and internal / external business customers. 
  • Actively work to identify and remove/ mitigate risks and blockers to product delivery.
  • Understand business priorities and technical feasibility to prioritize the platform backlog, identify dependencies, and manage risks.
  • Design and test efficient front-end and server-side solutions
  • Act as a technical lead and anchor to mentor junior engineers 
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly and implement learning fast
  • Effectively communicate your ideas and listen to others
  • Problem-solving - not only technically but also with competing visions from teammates and partners
  • Experience with Lean methodology & eXtreme Programming.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidly changing environment
  • Awareness of SRE principles and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to drive development of highly technical technology services and capabilities.
  • Understand the testing pyramid, develop a suite of unit tests and API tests, and adopt a "test-as-you-code" strategy.
