Senior Ten Print Examiner

AVER is seeking a Senior Ten Print Examiner focused on critical mission support biometric services within DHS. This group delivers and manages all deployed identity services and ensures sustainment of automated capabilities. Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct comparisons of subject to candidate fingerprint images using both automated tools as well as manual methodologies to make a determination of identification, exclusion or inconclusive
• Run various search tools to locate additional information on subjects
• Provide excellent customer service to field agents in need of assistance with fingerprint related questions
• Work in a team atmosphere providing round the clock support to State, Federal and Local Law Enforcement agencies, Medical Examiners Offices, and agents throughout the Department of Homeland Security

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Forensics, or related discipline

Experience Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience with preparing, searching, retrieving, analyzing, comparing, and evaluating fingerprints using both automated tools as well as manual methodologies to make a determination of fingerprint matches
• MUST be able to work evening, weekend and/or holiday shifts if required

Desired Requirements:

• International Association for Identification Certification as a Ten Print Examiner

Location:

• HYBRID (Springfield, VA or San Diego CA) 

Security Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
• This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship
