About the role

This is a remote position.

Summary of The Role

The Bookkeeper is a professional responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Working in various industries, a bookkeeper's job involves recording all transactions, posting debits and credits and producing invoices.

Role Responsibilities
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions. 
  • Update and maintain the general ledger. 
  • Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system. 
  • Recording of debits and credits. 
  • Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers. 
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions. 
  • Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements. 
  • Monitor any variances from the projected budget. 


Requirements

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance or partly qualified in CA/ CIMA/ ACCA equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
  • Hands on experience working with Tally ERP, Opera, MS Office is a MUST.
  • Exposure to the hotel sector is mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel  Strong attention to details and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to possess a good command of English and a positive approach towards working as a team.
  • Problem solving skills and quick-thinking approach.
  • Sense of accountability and responsibility towards your work.

Work Environment
  • General Work Hours: 10.30AM to 7.30PM Sri Lanka Time – 45hrs/week
  • Remuneration: Gross Salary Up to LKR 150,000/- 
  • Location: Remote WFH + Occasional Meets at our Colombo 5 office – Sri Lanka
