About the role
This is a remote position.
Summary of The RoleThe Bookkeeper is a professional responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Working in various industries, a bookkeeper's job involves recording all transactions, posting debits and credits and producing invoices.
Role Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.
- Update and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system.
- Recording of debits and credits.
- Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers.
- Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions.
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements.
- Monitor any variances from the projected budget.
Requirements
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or partly qualified in CA/ CIMA/ ACCA equivalent.
- Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
- Hands on experience working with Tally ERP, Opera, MS Office is a MUST.
- Exposure to the hotel sector is mandatory.
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
- Sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to details and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to possess a good command of English and a positive approach towards working as a team.
- Problem solving skills and quick-thinking approach.
- Sense of accountability and responsibility towards your work.

Benefits
Work Environment- General Work Hours: 10.30AM to 7.30PM Sri Lanka Time – 45hrs/week
- Remuneration: Gross Salary Up to LKR 150,000/-
- Location: Remote WFH + Occasional Meets at our Colombo 5 office – Sri Lanka
