The opportunity
Recognizing the need of our clients, we have formulated a sector strategy focused on the four significant dimensions: Digital Operations; Next Generation Back Office; Transact to Transform to Operate, and Energy Transition and Decarbonization solutions. Each of these areas involves significant operational transformation by engaging teams in the innovative application of technology in our clients’ businesses. In your role as a Sector Technology Senior, you will work with EY’s broad technology consulting capability teams to support integrating technology innovation into our transformative solution delivery to drive significant value for our clients. This is a high-profile position that will work with Energy industry technology leaders and client serving teams across many EY practices.

Your key responsibilities
As Energy companies explore opportunities to optimize their operational efficiency, you will help our clients understand areas to achieve operational excellence by examining their processes and tools including HSSE, accounting, reliability, commercial, logistics and engineering and examining operational KPI’s that drive costs and revenue. You will help our clients by crafting a strategy in line with their long-term goals or by implementing innovative and data driven digital solutions to drive speed to value. You will lead cross-competency teams within EY to bring the greatest value for our clients. You will help manage commercially viable engagements for EY. 
You will help to integrated technology capability into our pursuits to differentiate our service offerings; help author thought leadership material; help develop our ‘Go to Market’ strategy, help develop sales collateral and solution materials to position EY in the market. You will learn about the various competencies and capabilities within EY. You will play an active role in the sales to delivery lifecycle of engagements.
 

To qualify for the role, you must have the following:
•    Bachelors and/or master’s in Engineering/ Business/Technology
•    2 – 4 years of professional experience, preferably as a management or technology consultant and / or a Leader in the IT field or comparable industry experience
•    Experience working within the oil and gas sector, including:
o    Helping identify opportunities to improve KPIs/ operational performance through process analysis
o    Helping define value/ business case against identified opportunities
o    Helping implement innovative digital solutions to realize identified opportunities
•    Strong understanding of market fundamentals shaping market landscape today and through the energy transition
•    Understanding of oil and gas business functions (e.g., Operations, Supply chain, Maintenance, etc.) across the value chain (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream)
•    Understanding of technology strategy, operating models and technology enablement in the oil and gas business
