Senior Psychology Writer

Lotic is seeking an independently licensed mental health clinician who specializes in writing engaging psychology content. The candidate will be responsible for developing, strategizing, and writing sound, scientifically-informed content to support our platform.
Our ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller who can synthesize insights from internal teams and align with our strength based approach to create compelling content. They enjoy the challenge of distilling technical concepts into clear and engaging written material and work collaboratively across strategy, clinical science, and the creative studio to ensure projects align with the users’ needs while providing research backed, evidence-based solutions that drive engagement. The Senior Psychology Writer is a strong writer who understands how to not only relay insightful information effectively but create content that engages people.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for creating and disseminating content that is informed by up-to-date well-being science and grounded in current best practices in the writer’s field of specialization including storytelling exercises, workouts, and resources.
• Write outlines, workouts and any other content that’s needed with the Lotic voice, tone, and approach. 
• Collaborate with internal teams to align content with company goals.
• Review and edit content to ensure clinical accuracy and relevance.
• Work with Lotic’s team of internal subject matter experts to integrate guidance and empirically based well-being principles into all writing
• Stay current with research and trends in field of specialty.
• Explore creative approaches to storytelling that resonate with the target audience.
• Ensure content adheres to branding guidelines.
• Balance efficiency and quality in content production.
• Meet team goals for content production and quality.
• Work closely with internal subject matter experts and content teams to provide feedback, guidance, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with, and support, external subject matter experts to help generate content within the Lotic brand guidelines.
• Review processes and offer insights to improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Licensed mental health clinician (PhD or PsyD preferred, seasoned LCSW or LMFT also equivalent)
• Strong understanding of therapeutic modalities and approaches.
• Experience creating and disseminating supported content in engaging ways.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, take in feedback, and adapt to change.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to write, edit and organize thoughts.
• Curious learner with experience tailoring content to multiple cultures and languages.
• Experience managing KPIs that tie back to business goals.
• Experience working both independently and with subject matter experts to build long-form and short form content that connects back to a strength based approach. 
• Proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work successfully under tight deadlines and with a high volume of projects.
