About the role
Valiant is looking for a TES Work Group Leader to join our team!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides supervisory oversight of assigned employees conducting Tactical Engagement Simulation support operations in accordance with JRTC Mission Support Contract PWS and MILES Branch standards and standard operating procedures.
- Assists in enforcing employee compliance with all company and local management policies and programs.
- Assists in development of lesson plans and assists in providing instruction and training to employees in all Branch functional areas.
- Must be a functional work group leader for any cell to support the Shift Leader and Assistant Shift Leader.
- Must be proficient in performing functional checks, issue, installation, troubleshooting, and physical inventories of all MILES/TES equipment used at the Joint Readiness Training Center.
- Duties are performed under a variety of conditions that include, but are not limited to, the following: outdoors in all climatic conditions; in and from non-climate controlled warehouses; in and from non-permanent structures located throughout the JRTC maneuver training area; and, in and from mobile contact trucks.
- Performs other duties as assigned consistent with job and Branch requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Technical and administrative knowledge and expertise on TES systems.
- Must have basic working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Proficiency in military map reading, radio communications procedures, and driving with the use of night vision devices.
- Proficiency in the use of standard electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Previous experience in the essential job duties described above.
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US.
- Active Louisiana Drivers License.
- Will be subject to random drug screening.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior Military or equivalent Supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in planning/ organizing/ delegating activities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be in good physical condition capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and of prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
- Must be capable of working various shifts and schedules throughout the rotation.
- Must be willing to work extended hours/days when required.
