Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior MEP Superintendent with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical is preferred or technical field experience to oversee the on-site execution of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for mission-critical data center projects. This role requires in-depth knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical systems, strong field supervision capabilities, and a successful history of managing commercial field construction works with data center construction experience is desired. The position is in Columbus, Ohio.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead on-site coordination and execution of MEP scopes, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Supervise subcontractors, foremen, and field crews to drive productivity and maintain safe working conditions.
  • Review, coordinate and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for MEP systems.
  • Collaborate closely with senior managers, engineers, and design teams to resolve field issues and maintain alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee installation of electrical systems, including medium and low voltage power distribution, grounding, lighting, and critical backup systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Expertise in electrical system  and mechanical system startup, QA/QC, and energization/commissioning planning.
  • Complies with established company work rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
  • Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles, or responsibilities, as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Expertise in electrical and mechanical systems system startup, QA/QC, and energization planning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in relevant Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with teams and presenting technical information.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
