Physician - Pediatric Nephrology, Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is seeking an additional Pediatric Nephrologist at the assistant, associate, or full professor level to join alongside our nationally recognized kidney specialists who work diligently with children's comfort as a top priority, continually seek out the best treatment plans, train future pediatric care providers, and participate in cutting-edge research.

Essential Functions

• Full time position, on call and inpatient coverage every fourth week

• When not on call/inpatient, 5-6 half day clinics per week including possible outreach and telemedicine clinics

• Work alongside support staff - clinic and dialysis nurses, transplant coordinators, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, research coordinators

• Access to all the testing or procedures necessary including aquapheresis (soon), CRRT, plasmapheresis, lipid apheresis, kidney transplantation as well as acute and chronic hemo- and peritoneal dialysis

• Academic appointment through Michigan State University

• Participation in resident and medical student education, pediatric nephrology fellowship launch expected in 2025 or 2026

• Research and QI presence (ongoing involvement in CKID, CureGN, CTOT-41, NINJA, NAPRTCS, IROC and SCOPE)

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree

• Physician (MD) or (DO) - Michigan Medical License

• BE/BC - Pediatric Nephrology

• Certification: (BLS) - (ACLS) - (PALS)
