We are looking for a Test Equipment Quality Engineer at our Tewksbury, MA location. This is an onsite role.

The candidates will provide in-depth knowledge of Quality Management System requirements to support Test Equipment Development efforts for various Programs. Test Equipment Quality Engineering (TEQE) ensures program implementation in accordance with RTX’s Quality Management System (QMS), which is based on AS9100/ISO 9001.  In addition, Quality Test Equipment Engineering supports Raytheon’s Quality Policy with an emphasis on Quality Excellence, Customer Satisfaction and Continual Improvement.
 

The candidates will work closely with the Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) in providing expertise, guidance and overseeing issues encountered during design, development, build, integration and product realization of Depot and Factory Test Equipment.  This includes ensuring: the proper implementation of root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action, continuous improvement, compliance with RTX policies and procedures, deployment and alignment of the quality engineering processes.  They will be responsible for overseeing the Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) of newly developed test equipment as well as implementing updates to existing test equipment in meeting all its intended requirements for test of products manufactured by RTX.
 

 The scope of the work for this role includes participation in peer reviews and formal inspections of work products as defined in program planning documentation. Quality is a required member of the release and Change Control Boards (CCB). Typical examples of the documentation and program activities that Quality Engineering support including review of plans and procedures, design reviews, test plans and reports, software inspections, test, and sale readiness reviews, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, customer interface and gate reviews.

What You Will Do:

• Assess engineering work products (Peer Reviews, Configuration Control Boards, Code Reviews, Product Readiness and Sale, etc.) to identify and eliminate in-phase defects.
• Perform project data evaluation to facilitate root cause and correction action.
• Participate in test preparation and implementation to ensure requirement verification.
• Interface with Design and Test Development to drive down defects in-phase and solve issues impacting development.
• Lead and perform root cause analysis, facilitate corrective actions, and implement closed loop process controls along with continuous improvement methods.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of engineering experience
• Minimum of 5 years software engineering, software testing, test equipment (hardware/software), manufacturing, quality, or engineering experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry, or other highly regulated environment
• Working experience interpreting drawings/specifications, performing test evaluations, and supporting integration, verification, and validation of test equipment.
• Working experience in root cause and corrective / preventive actions

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Existing Secret Clearance or higher
• Test Equipment development and/or testing experience
