Job Summary:
Performs various food service duties, including food preparation, serving, dishwashing, and transportation. Provides excellent customer service and may operate a cash register.
Education/Experience:
- High school enrollment, diploma, or GED required.
- Food service or customer service experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure food quality, recipe compliance, and adherence to guidelines.
- Meet productivity, delivery, and serving schedules.
- Minimize waste and control costs by following portion guidelines.
- Maintain and clean equipment and dish areas efficiently.
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
- Uphold high sanitation standards and meet health inspection ratings.
- Follow safety and sanitation rules to maintain a safe environment.
- Complete required training programs and certifications.
- Support departmental improvement initiatives and teamwork.
- Safely deliver and retrieve food trays while following protocols.
- Interact responsibly with patients, visitors, and staff, addressing concerns.
- Adhere to hospital policies and promote a cooperative work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in English and able to follow instructions.
- Adaptable to department needs with a focus on customer service.
- Comfortable entering patient rooms and interacting with diverse individuals.
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:
- Work in kitchen, dining, and retail areas.
- Exposure to wet floors and sharp equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
