About the role
United Care Home Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to support an older adult who follows kosher dietary guidelines and observes specific cultural and religious traditions. This role requires someone who is knowledgeable and comfortable supporting clients with these practices. No specific faith is required, but experience working in Jewish households or familiarity with kosher guidelines is highly preferred to ensure comfort and continuity of care.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide high-quality personal care and companionship.
- Assist with meal preparation while maintaining a kosher kitchen and kosher food-handling practices.
- Support the client in observing cultural or religious routines (e.g., holiday preparations, traditional schedules, etc.).
- Maintain a safe and respectful home environment aligned with the client’s preferences.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with clients who observe kosher dietary laws (or willingness to learn).
- Familiarity with cultural or religious customs relevant to the client.
- Strong communication skills and a warm, respectful approach.
- Reliable, patient, and able to work independently.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience preferred (not required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (per state requirements)
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Active California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration
- Must have a valid driver’s license and active car insurance.
