POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position performs a variety of tasks within the Commercial Lending Administration Team in support of the Commercial Lending Division. Areas of specialty include CRA; Validate commercial lending teams' adherence to compliance, loan policy, procedures and regulations; assist in training, developing and implementing effective controls and procedures; monitor the commercial lending teams adherence to same via reporting in the LOS; Other general Administration duties as well as perform as a backup to specific Administration Job Tasks assigned to Loan Administration Officers –covering Operations, LOS, reporting and other Compliance QC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With some supervision, completes periodic validation and testing of transactions, processes, and controls that evaluate the adequacy, comprehensiveness and effectiveness of CRA compliance functions.
- Responsible for quality control and accuracy of commercial CRA reporting to the Bank’s Compliance Department.
- In conjunction with Compliance Department, develops effective compliance process, procedures, and training material and trains all levels of commercial lending staff.
- Acts as a knowledgeable initial compliance resource to the lending staff for daily support and interpretation of CRA regulations.
- Conducts follow up with business units on implementation and status of monitoring review recommendations and/or findings.
- Compiles materials for internal and external compliance audits, as well as regulatory examinations. Responds to audit inquiries during exams and report findings.
- Works with the Compliance and Post-Closing divisions to implement regulatory initiatives and loan documentation requirements.
- Reviews LOS reports to ensure input meets compliance requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations and obtains continuing education in responsible areas.
- Coordinate projects throughout the Bank business units, including commercial loans, audit, finance, compliance, legal, loan operations, credit administration and loan administration.
- Monthly Fee income and new loan origination validations
- Incentive plan review and validation
- Reports generation and distribution
- 3rd Party Report GL Fee processing and reconciliation
- Provide subject Matter expertise for Digital Technology Enhancements,
- Participate in Systems testing
- Perform regular Group Exposure maintenance
- Host Meetings with Loan Admins within Groups for weekly updates
- Support for Manual Reporting to the Board. Compiling, validating and finalizing Monthly reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience commensurate with job function
- Familiarity with Federal and State commercial lending regulations.
- Strong working knowledge of bank software applications, including LOS, Core, CMR, Microsoft office, FCM and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of lending products, retail banking and bank policies.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and complete them on time.
- Ability to identify gaps in process; develop improvements and train users on the new process.
