Job Description

Dailymotion is looking for a skilled, dynamic and open-minded DevOps Engineer with experience in distributed software architectures and data environments to join its Platform Team.

You will work with smart people on challenging and innovative projects and help to build our platform as a service running on Kubernetes on hybrid on-premise and multi-vendors cloud providers.

Using Agile methodologies, you will be responsible for bringing the gap between development and operations teams, focusing on the management, deployment and optimization of data-related softwares and architectures.

This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles, DevOps practices, and cloud native technologies.

The successful candidate will have various responsibilities and roles:

Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (on premise, GCP, AWS), implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code, ensure a high level of platform security.
Operate and improve CD pipelines for data engineering processes to ensure seamless and automated deployment of data solutions.
Proactively identify and resolve data pipelines and infrastructures issues, respond to incidents and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to understand the specifics requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering and devops to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Maintain detailed documentation of data engineering processes, infrastructures, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

5+ years experience in a similar role
Ability to work as a team-player
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem
Experience with microservices and distributed / scalable platforms
Knowledge of cloud native CI/CD (Tekton/Argo/FluxCD/JenkinsX)
Hands-on experience on analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability and stability of data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.
