Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED degree (Required)
ICD-9, ICD_10, and CPT Terminology (Required)
3 - 4 years’ experience in related field, medical billing, denials, etc. (Required)
Effective problem-solving skills to deal with difficult payers
Positive and engaging leadership traits to influence behavior to get results
Job Overview:
The Denials Prevention Team Lead's primary role is to oversee and support the work of the entire Denials Prevention team, which includes all Account Specialists and Coordinator roles. This individual is responsible for collaborating with team members and leadership to resolve complex accounts and questions and create an overall World Class experience for all customers (including teammates, patients, physicians etc.). So, this person is seen as a role model in all aspects and has revenue cycle experience. This position serves as a day-to-day resource for the team members, provide guidance and will report/escalate to leadership any issues that need resolved to help facilitate claim adjudication, improve workflows and provide a world class team and patient experience. This person will informally round on team members regularly to build relationships, develop team members and identify issues. This position is also responsible for assisting with new team member orientation / training and special projects. As a Denials Prevention Team Lead, you are responsible for role modeling the requirements and performance standards of the job and of our TriHealth Way SERVE and Always Behaviors. You will be responsible for demonstrating knowledge of the team's core processes and functions and will help provide guidance and direction to the team in a collaborative, positive and engaging fashion.
Job Responsibilities:
Attends and/or participates in additional/select meetings with or without leadership as needed.
Coordinates the workflow of the staffing office.
Performs the role of the Daily Staffing Coordinator as needed.
Uses Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets for departmental requirements.
Daily Rounding: Checks in daily with all team members to engage them, build positive and collaborative work environment, ask if there are issues, provides guidance within scope and/or escalates accordingly for answers or quick resolution.
