Job Description

The DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager is a critical leadership role, combining technical expertise with strong people management skills. This individual is responsible for overseeing the DevOps and SRE teams, ensuring the development, deployment, and reliability of the company's software applications and services.

Duties:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing the DevOps and SRE teams to build a cohesive, high-performing unit.
• Developing and implementing strategies for DevOps and SRE practices that align with the organization's objectives and technology roadmap.
• Ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure, including cloud services, servers, storage, and networking.
• Overseeing the CI/CD pipeline for software development, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of new features and updates.
• Leading the response to system outages and performance issues, including root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
• Implementing automation tools and processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Continuously monitoring system performance and implementing tuning improvements for enhanced stability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Profound knowledge in areas like cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Several years of hands-on experience in DevOps or SRE roles, demonstrating a track record of managing complex software deployment and operations.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and guide team members towards achieving their goals.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration.
• Adept at troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
