Leidos is seeking an experienced Office 365 Senior Administrator to join our Information Technology team to serve our customer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our research and health missions by ensuring the effective deployment and management of Office 365 services. This position involves both strategic planning and hands-on administration of the Office 365 environment to facilitate seamless communication, collaboration, and data management.

Role is expected to be onsite in DC/Rockville

MUST be US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance level 5

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support the Office 365 environment, encompassing Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Oversee the migration of Office 365 from one domain to other, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with various customer departments to design, deploy, and manage Office 365 solutions that meet research and administrative needs.
  • Establish and enforce governance policies for Office 365 usage, with a focus on security, compliance, and data protection standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and service records.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of Office 365 services to ensure they align with the evolving needs of ARPA-H.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide high-level support for complex issues within the Office 365 ecosystem.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements, present technical solutions, and ensure alignment with ARPA-H’s strategic goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Office 365 administration, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
  • Strong understanding of Office 365 security and compliance capabilities, including experience with information governance and data loss prevention.
  • Possess one or more Microsoft 365 certifications – Certified Administrator Expert, 365 Administrator, Endpoint Administrator etc.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with advanced features of Office 365 such as Advanced Threat Protection, eDiscovery, and Advanced Compliance Solutions.
  • Knowledge of NIH's research and administrative processes, as well as familiarity with the unique requirements of a federal research institution.
  • Agile development methodologies experience.
  • Proficiency in related tools like Zendesk, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Power Platform etc.
