Assistant Child Care Supervisor

Are you interested in developing your leadership career in child care? Minnetonka Community Education has an exciting opportunity to join our passionate team of educators as an Assistant Site Supervisor for our school age care program called Explorers! In this role, you will assist our Supervisors in executing extracurricular and educational programming for our Explorers before and after school program, as well as on non-school days and over the summer.

Job responsibilities include:

• Lead staff in implementing inclusive programming for children ages K-5, including arts and crafts, sports/gaming, educational activities, and more 
• Provide guidance to program staff on any issues or questions that arise and escalate to the Supervisor when necessary 
• Take charge of organizing and supervising the setup and cleanup of classroom activities, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for all participants
• Collaborate closely with the Supervisor and district staff to maintain a secure and successful program, adhering to established safety protocols and best practice
• Establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, building staff, and school district staff

Pay & Schedule:

• $21.65/hour
• $.55/hour split shift differential
• Full time split shift on school days 6:30-9:30am and 1-6pm
• Straight shift on non-school days and during summer

Qualifications:

• B.A. or B.S. degree in early childhood education; certification / licensure in a related field preferred 
• Ability to lead a team of staff with limited supervision
