Sr Accountant I

What you’ll be doing:

• Partner with other departments to create and maintain processes to properly account for respective areas on the balance sheet
• Ensure sufficient controls are in place with respect to these areas
• Compile journal entries monthly and maintain a two-day close
• Analyze accounts monthly through balance sheet reconciliation process. 
• Support internal and external auditors on audit requests
• Prepare and Distribute Preliminary and Final Physical Inventory (PI) Results for US Retail Stores
• Review Monthly Shrink Reserves for Accuracy and Completeness
• Forecast Recovery/Loss relating to PI Results
• Partner with Loss Prevention on PI Scheduling, PI Field Review and Researching Anomalies
• Ensure the accuracy of US Retail/DC Inventory through Service Now Tickets
• Support External Auditors during PI Audits and testing SOX Controls

Qualifications:

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related work experience

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Prior Inventory/Shrink Experience
