The Jun Zhao Lab studies the interactions among innate immune response, cellular metabolism and cell proliferation. A caregiver in this position works 8:00am - 5:00pm.  

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Participate in daily research project activities. 

• Plan, organize, perform and monitor daily project protocols.  

• Collect, prepare and maintain required research documentation, including informed consent records, case records, clinical notes and medical reports.  

• Report and assist with managing protocol deviations, adverse events and other project-related issues.  

• Be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the lab.  

• Order and purchase supplies, gather information on new equipment and recommend purchases.  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• High school diploma or GED.  

• Four years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment. 

• An associate’s degree and three years of experience, a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience or a master’s degree and one year of experience may substitute the experience requirement.  

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• Bachelor’s degree with undergraduate lab experience.
