HLG is seeking a Senior Associate to join our team in Philadelphia or New York City. This role is ideal for a communications professional with 2-4 years of experience in an agency, consulting, or client services environment and is comfortable managing projects, drafting client deliverables, and coordinating work across teams.

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting client engagements across communications strategy, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and content development. This is a client-facing role requiring strong writing skills, excellent organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects while working both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of client workstreams, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and meet HLG’s quality standards.
• Draft and edit client deliverables including strategy decks, briefing materials, stakeholder communications, reports, and other written content; strong writing skills and attention to detail are a must.
• Develop first-round drafts of presentations, memos, and written materials for internal and client review, translate high-level direction into concrete changes and improvements.
• Support client needs through organized and efficient project management, strong interpersonal skills and clear, confident communication.
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables while managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Assist with planning and execution of client meetings, roundtables, and workshops, including agenda development, logistics coordination, and follow-up summaries.
• Contribute to the development of thought leadership content and communications materials.
• Support podcast or digital content production, including guest coordination, background research, and draft materials.
• Conduct research and synthesize complex information into clear, concise materials for clients.
• Communicate proactively with internal teams to ensure alignment across projects and priorities.

Experience and Attributes

• 2-4 years of professional experience in communications, consulting, public affairs, agency, or client-service environments.
• Experience working in client-facing roles and managing deliverables in fast-paced environments.
• Strong writing and editing skills with experience producing presentations, reports, and communications material, podcast or video production skills are a plus.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including managing timelines and coordinating across teams.
• Experience organizing or supporting events such as workshops, roundtables, or stakeholder meetings is a plus.
• Research skills and ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
• Interest in or familiarity with healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sectors is preferred but not required.
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, working knowledge of major AI platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
