The Work You Will Do:
Project Development Supervisor I – District Four / Transportation Development / Planning & Environmental Management/Mobility Development
This position will be responsible for leading the development of engineering design concepts and coordinating project funding.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Supervises employees spending the majority of the time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees’ work. Has the authority to effectively recommend the hiring, transferring, suspension, lay off, recalls, promotions, discharges, assignments, rewards, or disciplinary actions for subordinate employees. Plans and directs workloads, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with subordinate staff. Provides direction and ensures that all subordinates receive training and instruction in methods and techniques necessary to safely perform their assigned tasks.
Identifies, evaluates, prioritizes and coordinates mobility needs related to capacity, operational and safety. Specific tasks include needs identification, project prioritization, funding strategies and project scheduling. Assists in the development of transportation safety projects. Assures quality of preliminary engineering geometry, traffic analysis, right-of-way, utilities, cost estimates, and environmental screening.
