Responsibilities
Noblis is seeking an entry-level Business Analyst to support our dynamic team in Reston, Virginia. With gained experience, this position is open to a hybrid work location in support of a work-life balance environment.
Reporting directly to the Senior Corporate Business Services Manager, this position will be an integral part of the Corporate Business Services team supporting our Business Operation, Project Management, Finance, and Billing teams. This position provides a great opportunity to gain experience in government contracting with the opportunity for growth and career advancement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review and understand contractual funding and program/project impacts on CPFF, Fixed Price, and T&M contracts.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Project Accounting team to create charge numbers based on the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to ensure costs are appropriately captured in Noblis’ Accounting System.
- Drafting intercompany work order agreements between Noblis and its subsidiaries, distributing completed agreements, and setting up necessary charge numbers.
- Support Program and Project leaders in developing custom cost reports and providing cost analysis.
- Support of our annual System for Award Management (SAM) reporting and other government reporting requirements.
- Partner with our contracts team to provide timely risk reporting to Noblis’ leadership.
- Assist with tracking Labor Categories requirements and compliance with other team players to support billing and contractual requirements.
- Conduct quarterly user acceptance testing of Costpoint to identify and resolve any issues before upgrades are launched to the application.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen for consideration.
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, OR PhD with 0 years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience.
- A degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field is required, or other business/government experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite - must have a strong working knowledge of Excel.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in supporting CPFF, T&M, and Fixed Price contracts is a plus.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint and PowerBI a plus.
- Ability to learn and understand U.S. government cost accounting, budgeting and project cost reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and with a team.
- Strong initiative, detail orientation, organizational skills and aptitude for numbers.
- Ability to multitask in a deadline-oriented environment.
