Full-time Prep Cook- Muse

Are you looking to get experience in the culinary field and increase your knowledge of the restaurant back of house industry? Muse Restaurant at Sentry is looking for a candidate to fill a prep cook position. Muse is a blend of artful experiences that range from our culinary presentation and service, to the colorful wine collection, and craft-made cocktails, all married with a cultural, art–filled environment. Together, it sets the tone for a unique dining experience for Stevens Point and central Wisconsin.

At Muse, you’ll build experience in creating handcrafted culinary items, including handmade pastas, fresh seafood, dry-aged steaks, and seasonal dishes made with the finest locally grown ingredients. Muse Restaurant provides flexible scheduling and is open Monday-Friday for lunch and dinner and on Saturday for dinner.

What You'll Do

As a Prep Cook, we entrust in you to lead a top-notch dining experience for all of our guests by:

• Preparing a variety of dishes made from our very own recipes
• Give the opportunity to show culinary creativity in daily features
• Maintain an exceptionally clean and functional work area
• Keep food waste to a minimum
• Work on banquets and special functions as needed, which at times may require working beyond normally scheduled hours

What it Takes

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience
• 0-2 years of related hospitality experience
• Above average organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Strong sense of customer service and safety awareness
