The Villa Maria School of Nursing currently has one 12-month faculty position available which will be responsible for teaching in both the undergraduate and the graduate programs and clinical education, as assigned. Candidates must provide evidence of competence in diverse teaching methods and effective classroom and clinical instruction.
Additionally, this position will serve as the coordinator for the Patient Simulation Center. The Patient Simulation Center includes 14 medium- and high-fidelity patient simulators, intravenous training stations, simulated emergency rooms, and simulated labor/delivery/recovery rooms.
The coordinator will support scheduling, education, and simulation facilitation activities for academic programs across the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences.
Required Qualifications

- Must be a registered nurse with a master’s degree in nursing.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain nursing licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
- An earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field; applicants who are enrolled or in the process of enrolling to doctoral programs are also encouraged to apply.
- Recent clinical and teaching experience in a program of higher education.
- Experience with simulation instruction and conducting simulation in an educational environment
Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy academic and clinical environment.
