This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a SCW Analyst for John Deere A&CS Part Services located in Milan, IL you will work In collaboration with your customers and teammates, directly support the advancement of the Smart Connected Warehouse (SCW) initiative at John Deere –driving transformational change to Warehouse Management solutions and processes via new and advanced capabilities-- by configuring and testing systems in support of the global design, local layout and functional requirements. 

 

  • Works closely with world-wide Operations and Engineering leads responsible for Warehouse Management processes (Deere and 3P) throughout all phases of the Smart Connected Warehouse global implementation to ensure delivery of common solutions of optimal performance [including identifying and mitigating risks] within the Parts/A&CS division.
  • Responsible for development of process strategy and system design as well as advanced configuration [initial definition and maintenance] of warehouse processes in WM system solutions
  • Create training documentation for warehouse office and floor staff. Perform end-user training and directly support implementations.
  • Travel up to 25% both Domestic and International locations.  
  • Development of production reporting and supporting adhoc analysis requests

What Skills You Need

 

  • 2 or more year’s experience identifying and implementing process improvements focused on quality and/or productivity with measurable results
  • 2 or more year’s experience working within Operations and/or Engineering function
  • 3 or more years’ experience gathering and interpreting complex data to develop actionable steps to improve processes

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • 2 or more years of experience working in warehouse or other operation
  • 2 or more years of experience working in an engineering role in support or operations
  • Systems Configuration experience
  • Knowledge of Parts operations systems (Manhattan, SAP EWM, Legacy DNS), processes, tools, and data.
  • Cross-functional understanding of Parts processes with depth in Operations
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, and/or Python for data analysis
  • Experience Training personnel (processes, best practices)
  • Experience developing and/or interpreting process maps.  (Example: Visio)

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Degree in Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • Degree in Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
