We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

This internship is a part of a 10-week summer internship program opportunity. This role will be based at Archer’s headquarters in San Jose, California and relocation or housing will not be provided. 

What You’ll Do:

Archer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing team. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team to contribute to the design or production of our aircraft.

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, track key performance indicators, and provide insights for process optimization
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and quality assurance, to achieve production goals and resolve any manufacturing-related issues
  • Prepare and present materials in support of readiness reviews
  • Interface with engineers, maintainers, technicians, and program management to accomplish objectives safely and efficiently

What You Need:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited university, preferably a Junior going in to your Senior year
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and principles
  • Excellent grasp of engineering fundamentals
  • Results focused 
  • Aligned with Archer’s core values 

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Previous coursework or experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering or related fields
  • Familiarity with manufacturing tools, equipment, and software
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with the aviation industry
  • Ability to relocate to Covington, GA after graduation, if offered a full time position

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
