We've recently raised our Series C, and we are focused on bringing our technology to market. We will partner with customers so they can build natural language understanding and generation into their products with just a few lines of code.

As our Global Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy you will:● Report directly to Cohere’s President & COO, partnering closely with Cohere’s seniorleadership, legal and responsible AI teams to develop, coordinate and execute a globalpublic policy and stakeholder engagement strategy that outline’s Cohere’s views onappropriate regulation of artificial intelligence and related issues.● Expand Cohere’s profile as the go-to thought-leader and industry partner of choice onissues relating to safe and responsible artificial intelligence policy, regulation andenforcement.● Lead and coordinate Cohere’s international engagement across jurisdictions bycultivating relationships with key executive branch officials, lawmakers, regulators,multilateral organizations, and other third-party stakeholders to influence thedevelopment of artificial intelligence legislation, regulations and public policy.● Proactively monitor, report and craft thoughtful responses to governmental initiatives andregulatory issues that may impact Cohere’s business or products.● Craft and deploy, in collaboration with Cohere’s public relation and marketing teams,effective messaging relating to Cohere’s position on artificial intelligence policy andregulation.You may be a good fit for this career opportunity, if you have:● 10+ years of proven leadership experience working with or in governmental, think tanks,public interest groups or corporate public policy organizations.● A master’s degree in political science, business, or law (or equivalent practicalexperiences).● Broad knowledge and passion for artificial intelligence, its application, and uses, andexperience in understanding, shaping, and debating trends that shape internationalpolicies and regulations relating to artificial intelligence.● A strong ability to navigate complex and fluid political and policy issues acrossjurisdictions and distill key messages for a variety of audiences.● Experience advising and collaborating with cross-functional internal & externalstakeholders.
