About the Role: 

Talavera and Onyx are looking for a talented Server! This server is a full-time seasonal role and will be a hybrid position between the 2 outlets.  In this role you will provide exceptional quality and service to the Talavera and Onyx guests. In addition you will be tasked with providing an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests’ needs and as an expert on the menu options; and delivering memorable guest experiences.

What you will do: 

• Fully understanding the menu, including entrees, preparation and taste

• Using Point of Sale system

• Coordinating food timing and transporting items to the guest table

• Assist in clearing and resetting tables according to service standards 

• Building rapport with the guest with above and beyond service

• Provide an enjoyable dining experience through excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness. 

• Anticipate guest needs a d satisfaction; offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. 

  

Skills/Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have:

• Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years serving experience in upscale establishment, hotel/resort experience preferred

• Must be able to be on feet for entire shift and communicate with guests appropriately and effectively

• Above and beyond attitude is required as well as a flexible schedule with ability to work weekends/holidays and evenings

• Valid Maricopa County Food Handlers Card

• Level 1 Sommelier preferred

What you bring:  

• An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task 

• High level of understanding and knowledge of food and wine  

• Background in Luxury Resort and Hotel considered an asset 

Schedule/Hours:  

• PM Shifts / Afternoon Tea

• Season will end May 31, 2025. Seasonal position may be extended with the agreement of manager and employee.
