Senior Database Administrator

With over 1,400 dedicated colleagues across Denmark, The Czech Republic, and The Philippines, this company is not just a workplace — it's a community united by a common goal: to drive innovation and operational excellence. </p><p>The senior SQL server database administrator(dba) provides the operational support and development of the Microsoft SQL server infrastructure production and non-production environments, which includes database servers, database services, and implementation of SQL based tools and infrastructure. The senior SQL dba will provide tier 2 and tier 3 technical support for database systems. The senior SQL server dba role is responsible for providing operational database services for corporate infrastructure. This is a production dba role as such it can require some after-hours support. some of the primary responsibilities of this role would include owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLA’s, reviewing service-related reports e.g. database backups, maintenance, monitoring on a daily basis to ensure service-related issues are identified and resolved, and working with team members to come up with strategic solutions.</p><p></p><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><p></p><ul> <li>Build, configure and deploy SQL databases</li> <li>Development and oversight of backup strategies for the SQL server infrastructure</li> <li>Manage SQL database security</li> <li>Controls privileges and permissions to database users</li> <li>Reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and recommends new/existing technologies that might increase productivity, reduce down time, or improve the quality of work related to SQL server systems</li> <li>Work closely with business and it associates, and outside vendors to effectively choose, plan, deploy and maintain system changes provide support for the SQL environment.</li> <li>Establish and maintain Microsoft SQL database architecture best practices, including procedures, guides, templates, and relevant documentation</li> <li>Provides the operational support and development of the Microsoft SQL server infrastructure production and non-production environments, which includes database servers, database services, and implementation of SQL based tools and infrastructure.</li> <li>Experience with SQL in virtual, physical and cloud-based environments.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>At least 5-8 years of database administration, extract, transform, and load (ETL) experience in a sql server environment with Microsoft SQL server 2012 or higher.</li> <li>Experience in performance tuning and optimization pto , using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools</li> <li>Previous experience working with large databases at least half a terabyte is necessary.</li> <li>5 plus years’ experience as a database administrator with Microsoft SQL server 2012 or higher</li> <li>Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems</li> <li>Experience with backups, restores and recovery models</li> <li>Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Flexible working hours </li> <li>Possibility to work from home</li> <li>Flexible cafeteria account</li> <li>Competitive salary</li> </ul>
