Position Summary

Illumina is seeking an experienced Information Security Program Manager to drive the delivery of manufacturing & labs security improvement initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Operational Technology (OT) security. This role sits within the Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team and is responsible for driving the maturity of our OT security posture.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned cybersecurity leader with deep expertise in OT systems, risk management, and compliance frameworks, capable of managing complex programs with minimal supervision and high accountability. Particularly in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of security improvements aligned with corporate goals and to improve manufacturing and labs security posture. The position requires ability to operate with limited supervision, with high customer satisfaction, efficiency, and accountability towards the success of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve operational technology (OT) Security Program, including strategy development, remediation planning, and progress reporting across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Drives multiple initiatives to mature Manufacturing and Labs Security Program, develops and maintains program plans, remediation plans and reports progress on parallel initiatives
  • Liaises with security engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams to advance program initiatives.
  • Communicates the status and accomplishments to executive leaders, peers in the IT organization, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for guiding the Manufacturing and Labs Organizations on security controls, risk management and ongoing maintenance
  • Develops future state strategy to meet changing business needs around Information Security Certification program
  • Develop and maintain Manufacturing & Labs security program management throughout the program life cycle;
  • Establish program governance process and controls, planning the overall program and monitoring the progress.
  • Manage the program budget, risks and issues and taking corrective measurements, coordinate concurrent security initiatives, associated interdependencies, and enable implementation objectives
  • Align program deliverables (outputs) to the planned outcomes, track, report and change mange as necessary
  • Managing and utilizing resources across projects and stakeholders’ communication.

Requirements

  • Strong oral and written skills to persuade, direct and stakeholders on manufacturing and labs security program objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain and manage high impact security uplifting initiatives
  • Multiple years of experience in engaging with external vendors on risk assessments and security technology implementation
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and ability to interpret applicability of security standards such as NIST CSF control requirements.
  • Extensive experience in building audience-based presentations, status updates, budget proposals and compliance score cards.
  • Experience and leadership in fast-paced project implementations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Experience/Education

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in technology, Science, Business, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have served in a role that had responsibility and accountability for maintaining Information Security risk management programs.
  • Experience in Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech Industries desired.
