Business Manager to the HR Director

The team
Within the Global Human Resources organisation, the role of Business Manager supports the HR Director Corporate Staff Department (HRD CSD) and the Global HR CSD team to deliver on the CSD HR and business function priorities.
The purpose of the role is to contribute towards the CSD HR priorities, projects, strategy development and implementation, to draw up, execute, guarantee and monitor internal business processes and to act as a linking pin for other business units so as to enable effective and efficient operations. The position directly reports to the HRD CSD and is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Roles & responsibilities
In the Business Manager role, you will be responsible for activities related to supporting the HRD CSD and the Global HR CSD team. You are the driving force and accelerator for the team, in the execution of the global HR agenda and the People agenda for the CSD business lines of Risk, Finance and CEO-domains.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Advising and supporting the HRD CSD in developing the CSD HR Team long term strategic agenda and preparing plans to deliver priorities and monitoring progress on CSD/HR projects and day-to day activities;
Acting as a sparring partner, sounding board and trouble shooter for the HRD and the team in day-to-day activities; as a full member, you can represent the team in meetings, decisions and action;
Supporting the team to prepare for strategic quarterly People / Talent sessions, and presentations for the CSD HR team, MBB meetings and meetings with Senior Leadership Team members across three functions.
Coordinating the HR topics on the agendas of the Risk MT and Finance MT.
Prepare the CSD HR team meetings, in terms of the agenda, follow up actions and ensuring these are allocated to the relevant team members and are acted upon.
Support the HRD CSD to prepare for Global HR events including webcasts and townhalls;
Suggesting and implementing improvements to HR projects and processes, and ways of working, being deeply involved in the content, challenging the content and pinpointing the priority areas, working closely with our Communities of Expertise;
Acting as a linking pin within the team and with other (HR) departments, the Business Managers within Global HR and CoEs to deliver the best quality service to the business;
Preparing and monitoring the CSD budget;
Responsible for leading /owning multiple HR projects within CSD HR such as Step Up performance management, data quality and reporting, continuous listening (pulse surveys, OHI), etc.;
Managing end-to-end senior leadership appointments with regards to contractual and regulatory approval processes, internal communications, screenings, collaborating interdepartmentally to ensure a positive onboarding experience; and
Being a trusted provider of management information. Liaising with HR Data Analytics and Data Management to ensure the optimum use of available people data to drive informed decision making within HR and the business. You will also be required to assist with compiling dashboards for our domains and preparing relevant charts and simple analyses in Excel using our People data.
How to succeed
You will hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business. Ideally, you will have had 5-7 years’ work experience in an international setting.
You have a good knowledge of the Human Resources function and trends.
You have a consultancy style, the professionalism to work with senior management, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
You have exceptional HR program ownership and execution capabilities with a high level of attention to detail. Strong in analysis, planning & organisation skills.
You are able to set priorities in a fast-paced environment and escalate issues in a timely manner.
You are comfortable with ambiguity and high work pressure and can also work to tight deadlines.
You know how to make complex analyses and you anticipate short term opportunities and challenges.
