Job Description:
Under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor, the incumbent functions as a working leader to coordinate the tasks, activities, supplies and equipment of locksmiths.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
- Must adhere to Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
- Installs, repairs, rebuilds and services mechanical, electrical or computerized locking devices.
- Disassembles locks and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs and other parts.
- Performs required and preventive maintenance on card "swipe" locks.
- Inserts new or repaired tumblers into lock to change combination.
- Cuts new or duplicate keys and key cards; generates master for key cards.
- Moves lockpick in cylinder to open door locks without keys; opens safe locks by drilling.
Prepares work schedule and payroll; processes Leave requests; maintains and submits records as appropriate. - Maintains records and logs of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s locks and corresponding keys for key control system.
- Interacts with Tribal Gaming Commission and Security department to ensure integrity of security system.
- Monitors and maintains inventory of cut keys, blanks and locks; generates requisitions for replenishment as necessary.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or technical certificate required as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and 1 year of casino experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
