Inova Health System’s  Fairfax Hospital is looking for a  Clinical Technician 2 to join our Pediatric Med Surg Unit. This role is part-time, 2-12hr day/night shifts.

Responsibilities: 

• Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Effectively communicates with health team members, patients, and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
• Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
• Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
• Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
• Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
• Assumes responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Hours: full-time, part-time, 2-12hr day/night shifts.
• Location: Fairfax Hospital
• Experience:  1 year of acute care experience as a Clinical Technician
• Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association, within 3 months of hire
• Education:  High School diploma or equivalent
