The Team:
The Data Importer team builds the Neo4j Data Importer application that helps our users connect to and create graphs from any type of data sources - databases, data warehouses, files, etc. It is a great place to start when just getting into graphs, but will also be able to handle large amounts of data for more advanced setups. Once connected, Data Importer will suggest a graph model for you. You make any edits to the data mapping before starting your import jobs.
In order to deliver this experience, the team works closely with Product Management, UX and Test, as well as other teams such as Connectors, GenAI, Core Database and Cloud teams. The team consists of 5 engineers located in Malmö and London.
The Role:
As a Frontend Engineer in Data Importer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the Neo4j Data Importer application's visual interface, empowering users to map their graph models and connect them to data sources. You will work closely with your team to:
- Develop and refine the visual tool for graph modelling and data source integration.
- Contribute to designing and implementing frontend features using modern frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs that manage data source connections, import job statuses, and results.
- Work on new features to improve the user experience and functionality of Data Importer.
- Optionally, contribute to Backend development efforts as and when required.
Required Experience
- Proficiency in frontend development with React and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of building intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience with graph databases, relational databases, or Neo4j.
- Exposure to AI-driven applications or tools.
- Experience with backend programming languages, such as Kotlin, Java, or Go.
