Job Description Summary

The Building Administrator Director oversees operations for Provost units’ facilities. With a priority on transitioning from capital projects to building operations, this position will work with units to determine scheduling of spaces, events planning and processes, liaising with building management, and providing data on measurable outcomes for these responsibilities. Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Planning, Design, and Construction, this role is intended to support units’ facilities, and provide comprehensive operational support related to space and facilities. The position will provide project-specific support for new spaces as they move to operations, and day-to-day oversight/consult for existing spaces.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop process for, and schedule shared spaces. Collaborate with building occupants to manage space reservation system. Develop and implement policies and priorities for scheduling of spaces.
  • Coordinate building access.
  • Coordination for Events. Design and implement procedures for use of spaces to ensure a high level of services.
  • Identify, train, and serve as point of contact for vendors for events.
  • Coordinate building services, work orders, housekeeping, and security as required to support building operations in new facilities and advise building administrators in existing spaces.
  • Create and support network of building administrators within the Provost unit.
  • Support planning, design, and construction team in the transition from design and construction into operations and develop processes and procedures for the transition.
  • Liaise with building management/FRES Operations and management to ensure continued successful building operations.
