Who are we looking for?
The Manager, Transfer Pricing will support the Senior Director, Global Tax Strategy and will be engaged in all facets of the transfer pricing lifecycle from planning to compliance and controversy and will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining ESI’s operational transfer pricing. Critical responsibilities include mitigating risk and controversy while achieving strategic alignment of function and profit consistent with the company’s objectives. As such, the Manager, Transfer Pricing will also work with the Senior Director, Global Tax Strategy to develop and implement tax planning and strategies that maximize business opportunities while optimizing the Company’s cash tax position, minimizing the effective tax rate, and managing tax risk.
What will you be doing?
• Prepare legal entity, economic, profitability analyses to ensure transfer pricing policies are
conducted consistent with the arm’s length standard.
• Coordinate with Accounting, FP&A, Tax Compliance, Treasury, and others to manage data collection, analysis, and communication of relevant transfer pricing adjustments to ensure complete and timely flow of information into Transfer Pricing and effective communication of Transfer Pricing inputs for relevant stakeholders.
• Own and operate transfer pricing quantitative model, maintaining appropriate economic profitability of legal entities.
• Manage relationships with third party advisors through oversight, maintenance of project deadlines and deliverables, and providing key data in the preparation of contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation in compliance with OECD (Organization of Economic and Cooperative Development) and local regulations.
• Ensure proper TP documentation, including achieving local compliance requirements are achieved, including participating in and leading functional interviews with key business personnel across various divisions and departments to accomplish this.
• Offer recommendations in setting transfer pricing policies in accordance with acquisitions, divestitures, and business restructurings.
• Initiate and foster development and design of transfer pricing automation projects for key analyses by utilizing technology tools.
• Support tax planning and strategic initiatives for the Company, including the formulation, recommendation and implementation of tax strategies that drive shareholder value.
• Support appropriate resolution of audits and appeals of the Company’s positions by tax authorities throughout the world.
• Ensure seamless integration with tax reporting and compliance teams to ensure risks are mitigated and positions and transactions are appropriately reflected.
• Play an integral role in building a results-oriented tax function to ensure that Tax Department goals are achieved through the development of professional staff and foster a collaborative, team-based work environment.
Who are You?
- 3-5 or more years of relevant experience in transfer pricing, international tax, or related fields is expected to be successful in this role.
