About the role
AR Reconciliation Administrators are part of the Southfield Cash Team at GFL. They are responsible for reducing the number of customer accounts with credit balances. This involves researching and analyzing credits on customer accounts. These credits could be due to overpayments, misapplied payments, or service credits issued to the customer by their local GFL branch. Admins must rectify the account by transferring payments per customer remittance, issuing customer refunds for overpayments, and reapplying other overpayments per customer’s request. Admins are also responsible for answering emails and inquiries as assigned as well as special projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- 1-3 years' experience in accounts receivable, or comparable associates degree
- Close attention to detail
- Highly skilled in critical thinking and problem solving
- Strong desire to learn and ability to take constructive criticism
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically Microsoft excel
