About the Role
Corporate Engineering is seeking a highly motivated systems engineer to join the team. This team supports our cloud-based Atlassian Ecosystem integrated with other applications at Robinhood.
As the Systems Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for the implementation and management of tools that help Robinhood teams support the continuously improving process of task tracking, documentation management and reporting on various team’s activities. You will work closely with a wide range of Robinhood teams to understand their needs for tools and processes, their pain points, and how to address them.
What you’ll do day-to-day:
- Technical administration and operation of the Atlassian product suite including Confluence, Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Opsgenie and Status Page and relevant add-ons
- Work with teams to align their process with Atlassian tools configurations, advising them on opportunities to implement self-service and/or automate and standardize their task management and reporting
- Work to recommend, implement and maintain best processes for individual teams using Atlassian core capabilities, addons and third party integrations where applicable
- Provide application administration support for users and partners including, but not limited to, enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing solution implementations
- Work closely with multi-functional teams and vendors to define and implement technical and business requirements
- Research and evaluate new plugins
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues and bugs in configuration
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve User permissions and notifications issues
- Escalate end user issues to appropriate vendors and work with them to resolution
- Assist the team in collecting, processing, analyzing, and delivering electronic artifacts needed by our organizations
- Assist teams in setting up their project and portfolio level reporting
- Assist in integration of systems to drive our end users workflows
- Be an engineer in a fast paced, collaborative and detail oriented environment where quality of engineering is very high
- You'll also need to have excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous organizational ability, and attention to detail while being passionate about interacting and collaborating with stakeholders and vendors
About you:
- 5+ years of experience working in the Atlassian space
- Deep knowledge of cloud Atlassian applications and most popular addons
- Familiarity with Opsgenie and Status page
- Working knowledge of Atlassian architecture, api, database tables, application logs, email handlers, application links
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of user, application, and system-level issues
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first work environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with users of all levels (from first-time atlassian user to advanced technical users and administrators of integrated applications)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
- Resourcefulness, persistence, and ability to thrive in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Exceptional written and communication skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize and juggle multiple requests across multiple platforms (Jira, Slack, email)
- Conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, ITIL, Agile and SAFe frameworks.

- Experience with FINRA, SEC, SOX, GDPR, and more
- Atlassian Certifications (ACP-120, ACP-420, ACP-620)
- Experience as an Atlassian Solution Partner Consultant
