Associate Photographer

ABOUT THE ROLE…

We have an immediate need for an associate photographer, a friendly and highly motivated individual who is willing to go beyond today’s standards as a member of our Design Team. WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

• Be an integral part of the design team reporting directly to the Photography Director
• Understanding product photography, lighting and adjusting accordingly dependent on the type of product
• Maintaining consistency across a range of products in terms of color and lighting
• Ensuring quality of images captured while working to a high volume.
• Taking responsibility for and resolving photography queries.
• Understanding the role of photography as tool to help differentiate brands across different businesses. 
• Being responsible for the maintenance of equipment and rigs used.
• Working flexibly within the studio operation, helping across functions if needed to maintain productivity.
• When needed Identifying and escalating problems with Studio processes and suggesting solutions.

 

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?

• BA in Photography or equivalent experience in digital studio photography required 
• 1-3 years’ experience in Adobe Photoshop preferred.
  • Required Photoshop skills – Photo Manipulation.
    • Clipping paths, masking, healing brush, spot cleaning, color matching, layer styles, saving for web, changing backgrounds, and more…
• Must be very detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Must have ability to organize, manage changing priorities and work under pressure.
• Experience with Mac OS based computing.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, positive, and outgoing with a “can do" attitude.
• Must have the ability to conceptualize and generate ideas independently.
