POSITION SUMMARY:                                  

The Senior Sales Compensation Analyst is responsible for calculating, processing, and administering sales incentive payments for our sales organization. Performs complex analyses to assess effectiveness of sales compensation plan design and identify opportunities for improvement.  This individual will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Sales, HR, and Finance, to ensure accurate and timely payment of sales incentives. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention-to-detail, excellent communication skills, and extensive experience in sales compensation administration.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately calculates, processes, and administers sales incentive payments in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with established compensation plans and company policies
  • Develops, maintains, and improves sales compensation tools, processes, and systems to ensure efficient and accurate administration of sales incentive payments
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Sales, HR, and Finance, to ensure accuracy of data and efficient sales compensation calculations.  Performs complex analyses to identify anomalies and errors in large sets of data
  • Performs complex analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of current sales compensation plans and to inform the design and implementation of sales compensation plans that align with company objectives, drive performance, and ensure market competitiveness
  • Focuses on continuous process improvement emphasizing automation, scale and accuracy
  • Serves as the system owner and administrator of the sales compensation system.  Identifies enhancements and configuration changes, and partners with IT to get them implemented as needed
  • Conducts audits and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity, and resolves any discrepancies in sales incentive payment calculations
  • Manages and resolves complex sales compensation inquiries and issues, ensuring a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders
  • Prepares and presents regular reports and analysis on sales compensation program performance, trends, and insights to senior leadership
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to sales compensation administration
  • Provides guidance and training to sales leaders and HR partners on sales compensation administration best practices and processes
  • Conducts market research and benchmarking analysis to ensure our sales compensation programs remain competitive and attract top talent
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Environment: Works in a standard office environment

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify anomalies and errors in large sets of data
  • Ability to check your own work and ensure a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with other departments.
  • Ability to understand system architecture and figure out how the system needs to be configured
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

 

EXPERIENCE:                                              

  • Minimum 5 years of experience related to compensation, calculating payments, payroll, or finance, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth organization
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear and concise manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel, and experience with compensation management software/tools
  • In-depth knowledge of sales compensation best practices,
