The role:
The Allied Health Professional -Clinical Lead position is a key leadership role within Mental Health Services North and North West. The position will provide high level support to the Allied Health Director and regional Team Leaders in the provision of evidence based perinatal mental health services in both the north and north west regions. In accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Services Principles, National Metal Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and other relevant professional competencies, the position will contribute to the clinical and operational management of Perinatal MHS across the north and north west.
The Allied Health Professional – Clinical Lead will provide high level support to the Allied Health Director and Team Leaders in the provision of:- Leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.
- Effective management of specified human and physical resources.
- Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan through the implementation of the associated model of care, and relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
- Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, Full Time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025.

Salary: $120,114 - $130,181 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in mental health or relevant field
- Experience and/or interest in working with people experiencing perinatal mental health disorders or other mental health conditions.
- Experience in clinical and professional supervision
- Current Driver’s Licence.
