SUMMARY

This is a skilled position responsible for facilitating external sales of ready-mixed concrete.  The sales representative is responsible for maintaining high quality communications between our existing customer base, future customers, and the operating departments.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Comprehensive sales and marketing of all products, including concrete, to municipalities, commercial businesses, and large residential projects.
  • Follow up on all sales/quotes and collection procedures, when necessary.
  • Accurate pricing of products based on given cost factors.
  • Keeping fully abreast of the current marketing condition and the activities of competitors.
  • Developing and strengthening our relations with all customers.
  • Provide the best “Customer Experience" to all clients.
  • Accurate and timely preparation of various paperwork, including estimate sheets, contracts, credit approval, billing reports, etc.
  • Ability to derive quantities from plans.
  • Daily coordination with dispatch team to insure best “Customer Experience.”
  • Assist with other subsidiary operations as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate projects to ensure proper layout, scope of work, cost control, profitability, and overall quality of work.

 

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public always.
  • Must have an outgoing personality and be at ease interacting with clients.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be adept at making “cold calls.”
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.

 

  • Strict adherence to Redimix policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. 
  • Required to sign confidentiality agreement.

 

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

 

Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.  Protective equipment that may be required for this position:  Hard Hat, High Visibility attire, safety glasses and safety boots.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Individuals must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations, using some combination of skills and abilities.

 

          EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College, technical school or minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E., B.M., B.B.) from four-year college or university a plus.  

 

          LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must have excellent, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual a bonus.

 

          MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
