Licensed Practical Nurse General Surgery and Trauma Stepdown

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care to patients under the supervision of RNs or licensed providers in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines. The LPN provides and maintains a clean, safe, and quiet environment of support and comfort to patients18 years old and older through the lifecycle. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION REQUIRED 

Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing

LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

Valid, active State of Georgia LPN license for GA locations and State of Alabama LPN license for AL locations 

BLS certification

Floyd Medical Center is also home to a state-designated Level II Trauma Center, a behavioral health center, specialty centers for pediatrics, wound care, and hyperbaric therapy. It houses primary care and urgent care networks of providers and hosts a realm of outpatient services, including the operation of the Floyd County Clinic and an associated pharmacy for uninsured patients.
