About the role

We're looking for a Director of Data Transformation to lead company-wide efforts to manage and protect data. Reporting to our VP of Business Transformation, your focus will be on improving data quality and securing sensitive information across the digital supply chain. You’ll also establish a data governance framework to guide policies, standards, and best practices at every level of the business.

• You will create and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for managing data. You’ll define roles and responsibilities, making sure everything aligns with overall business goals.
• You will implement processes for data profiling, cleansing, and validation. You’ll set data quality metrics and ensure consistency across systems.
• You will oversee title registration and hierarchy within Rightsline, track data lineage, and make sure digital assets are properly tagged.
• You will work with IT and Sony Content Protection to implement access controls and data protection measures. You’ll ensure compliance with regulations and conduct regular security audits.
• You will streamline data flow between systems, standardize data formats, and work with Enterprise Technology to create API integrations and data exchange processes.
• You will ensure data is accurate, accessible, and usable. You’ll collaborate with business units to meet their data needs and develop programs to enhance data literacy across the organization.
• You will manage a team to address channel partner issues, urgent requests, schedule changes, and internal errors, ensuring everything is resolved on time.
• You will define and lead the data governance strategy while working closely with main partners.

This role is key to ensuring data quality, consistency, and security across our digital supply chain, supporting ALC Channel launches, and promoting a data-driven culture in our company.

About You

• 12+ years of experience with data in the digital supply chain. SQL and Python skills preferred.
• You have a deep knowledge of data governance principles, best practices, and industry standards, with experience managing data for streaming.
• You have a strong understanding of digital supply chain processes in media and entertainment.
• You have experience with data management tools and technologies.
• You have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• You have created and implemented data governance frameworks and policies.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to turn complex data into actionable insights.
• You have experience managing cross-functional teams and working with multiple partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or comparable experience. Certifications in data governance, data management, or data privacy (e.g., DAMA, CDMP, CIPP/US) would be beneficial.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
