What will you do?
A day in the life of a Digital Merchandiser at Vans looks a little like this.
As a Digital Merchandiser, you will support and execute merchandising strategies across the North America websites (US and Canada) and mobile app. You will obsess improving customer conversion, AOV, revenue and time on site by presenting Vans’ products in the right way, at the right time, and in the right combination. You will collaborate closely across the digital team (merchants, content authors, retention and operations SME’s) as well as with other departments - Product, Marketing, Merchandising, and Planning - to bring products to life and manage their life cycle on site.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Execute daily site merchandising across categories, including product setup, pricing, imagery, badging, navigation, and onsite experiences.
- Maintain and optimize product data integrity across PIM, CMS, and site tools—identifying and resolving errors, inconsistencies, and merchandising bugs.
- Own assigned categories, using performance metrics (e.g., conversion, sell-through, AOV, inventory health) to drive optimization and priorities.
- Manage seasonal product lifecycle, including data preparation, attribute setup, product uploads, and pre-launch QA.
- Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Buying, Marketing, and Product teams to align on product strategy, campaigns, and site execution.
- Support promotional and campaign execution, including product selection, pricing setup, and QA of featured experiences and links.
- Maintain and evolve site navigation, search, and product discovery tools (filters, facets, cross-sell) to improve customer experience.
- Contribute to merchandising processes and tools, including maintaining the merchandising calendar, playbook, and continuous improvement efforts.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 4-6+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Digital merchandising execution excellence, ensuring accurate and consistent onsite execution across product presentation, pricing, promotions, navigation, and discovery tools.
- Strong attention to detail and operational rigor, maintaining product data accuracy, site hygiene, and thorough QA processes to prevent and resolve errors.
- Analytical, KPI-driven decision making, leveraging performance metrics to inform priorities and optimize category and site performance.
- Deep product and category fluency, with the ability to assess assortment health, identify opportunities, and translate insights into merchandising actions.
- Cross-functional collaboration and influence, effectively partnering with Merchandising, Marketing, Product, and Retention teams to align execution with business priorities.
- Project and seasonal launch management, ensuring timely delivery of product setups, campaigns, and site updates while adapting to changing timelines and dependencies.
- Proficiency across eCommerce tools and platforms, including CMS, PIM, DAM, SFCC, Google Analytics, Quant
