Job Title
Cost AccountantThis role will be responsible for streamlining processes utilized by the Operational Accounting team to help support all CoorsTek locations in a more efficient way. Through collaboration with Controllers and other support functions, this role will have responsibilities that play an integral part in inventory, cost savings, and month end close.Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work with global manufacturing sites and supply chain teams on improving financial KPIs and driving continuous improvement directly tied to inventory.
- Perform global operational accounting functions that include inventory costing and maintenance, account reconciliations, and balance sheet management of inventory related items.
- Prepare general ledger input and analysis to support the CoorsTek Accounting Managers, internal and external auditors, and users of internal financial information.
- Lead all physical audits of inventory by gathering appropriate reports systematically and working with production site warehouse leads to perform counts that will be reviewed by external auditors.
- Assist production sites with month end “consolidated” entries for all entities.
- Monitor and identify risks and opportunities related to inventory.
- Coordinate efficient and accurate uploading of information into the general ledger, and extraction of information out of the general ledger using tools such as Microsoft Excel and MfgPro Reporting.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management, internal and external accounting, and external auditors.
- Participate and assist Director of Operational Accounting and site Controllers with standard cost rolls performed semiannually for all manufacturing sites.
- Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and supply possible solutions to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Support Purchase to Pay: process approvals, cost tracking and efficiency improvements through consolidation.
- Work closely with facility Controllers and warehouse personnel to ensure all internal inventory controls, policies, and procedures established by CoorsTek are being practiced.
- Oversee and maintain inventory accuracies at manufacturing facilities through reviewing system reports. Work with warehouse personnel to resolve major discrepancies.
- Work on special projects focused on systems and productivity improvements as needed.
- Other duties, responsibilities, and ad hoc requests as required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance, or related functions.
