Description

SUMMARY:

This position requires you to work with drivers, production and customers on a day-to-day basis to coordinate the movement of corrugated orders.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Inspect outgoing trailers for compliance with all customer specifications and industry standards
  2. Maintaining daily deliveries (including offsite warehouse transfers), coordinate the plan with the material pickers, and direct dispatching personnel to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer shipments. Incorporate the use of trailers from other sites and outside carriers, as required.
  3. Develops design and implementation of work methods and operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing customer orders with Customer Service and Production.
  4. Attend production meetings and drive the corresponding activity throughout the shipping organization.
  5. Reviews work processes, recommends measures to improve shipping methods, equipment performance, and quality of product or service, suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
  6. Provide administrative support to the Warehouse Manager as required
  7. Special projects and assignments as business dictate
  8. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College Degree in Business or Logistics preferred
  • 2 or more years in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to travel between plants as work dictates
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must maintain a valid forklift certification
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with computers and technology
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team member
  • High degree of attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
