Job Description:  

This is professional services work of a managerial nature performing project management for transportation engineering and construction within the Department Transportation.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the management, development, and delivery of MaineDOT's infrastructure for a significant number and variety of moderately complex transportation projects,
• Maintaining project budgets,
• Authorizing, monitoring, and controlling expenditures,
• Assisting and mentoring construction personnel,
• Ensuring compliance with the contract documents and assisting in conflict resolution, and
• Managing and assigning MaineDOT and consultant construction staffing.

Supervision is exercised over professional engineers and professional/technical staff members who perform engineering related work and activities. This classification reports to the Senior Project Manager (winters) and the Assistant Program Manager (summers). Work is performed under administrative direction.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Licensure as a Professional Engineer or twelve (12) years experience in technical engineering.
