Senior System Engineer* Digital Solutions Clinical Lab IVAC 

 

In the position as "Senior System Engineer* Digital Solutions Clinical Lab" you are responsible for the conceptual and technical design of digital solutions for laboratories handling analytical samples at BioNTech. You will work in close cooperation with business units to develop and execute a digitalization strategy to contribute to overall business success.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Technical leadership for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of computer systems used in laboratories for the analysis of clinical trial samples (eg. LIMS systems)
• Contribute the conceptual and technical design, configuration, and deployment of computer systems in laboratory environments
• Partner with laboratory scientists, researchers, and management to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver solutions that meet their need
• Oversee all development and validation activities in both the implementation and operational phases and  ensure regulatory compliance  Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the effective implementation and integration
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and accuracy of computer systems by proposing and implementing innovative solutions and process improvements

 

What you have to offer:

• Degree in relevant field such as life sciences, engineering, computer science or similar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and designing laboratory systems, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Strong understanding of laboratory information management systems (LIMS), laboratory execution systems (LES) and similar systems
• Preferably experience with SampleManager
• Proven experience in managing implementation projects in GxP environments
• Experience with relevant regulatory requirements is essential
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex processes
• Strong leadership and communication skills
